Parham House

Parham House is a superb Elizabethan house, with award winning gardens set in the beautifull downland deer park.

It is the home of Lady Emma and Mr James Barnard and their family and is open to the public from April to October inclusive.

Arundel with its Castle

Four miles by car, or one train stop from Amberley, lies Arundel with its Castle, Cathedral and interesting shops, along with the Wetlands Wild Fowl Trust.

Set high on a hill in West Sussex, this great Ancient Castle, Stately Home & Gardens, commands the landscape with magnificent views across the South Downs and the River Arun.

Built at the end of the 11 Century, it has been the family home of the Dukes of Norfolk and their ancestors for nearly 1000 years. Open from Easter until the end of October.

Weald & Downland Open Air Museum

The Weald & Downland Open Air Museum is set in the heart of the South Downs National Park, and has over forty five historic buildings that have been rescued and re–erected to create one of the most important Open Air Museums in Europe.

Amberley Museum & Heritage Centre

The Amberley Museum & Heritage Centre is situated close to Amberley Railway Station and nearby teashop along the River Arun. It offers a back-in-time look at past crafts, with Vintage bus tours, Narrow gauge railway, Electrical museum, and fun for all the family.

Open from March to October, plus half-terms and the Month of December.

Bosham Harbour

There are wonderful walks around Bosham Harbour with its welcome Tea rooms and Craft centre, with many individual shops.

Bosham itself is the oldest Christian site in Sussex and the church is the only one shown on the Bayeux Tapestry.

Approximately 13 miles from Amberley, Chichester has a Cathedral, Tudor Market Cross, Art Gallery, Museum, Theatres, Cinemas, Bowling Alley, attractive and compact shopping areas, and Roman Walls and Bath House remains.

A Roman Palace at Fishbourne and Chichester natural Harbour are nearby.
